THE LIE WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT THE LIAR
It will do us harm. One way or another. Sooner or later.
It's a self inflicted wound. Unfortunately, it's the kinda wound we can't reveal.
No matter, it's real. It'll reduce our capability. We can't always keep on walking straight with a wounded body. Whereas, people demand us to do so because they don't know that we're wounded and we can't tell them about it. It's a drag. It's a loss.
It'll be one of the reason when something goes wrong and we can't seem to understand why. It'll be one of the answer when we ask, "What have I done to deserve this?". It could be the basic mistake.
It gets more hazardous when we already forget it. When we've lower our defences over it. It's the skeleton in our closet. Eventually we forget it. One day we open the closet and get shocked by it. Or someone else finds it and what a long explanation we must come up with.
A lie can make us lie more. To lie over a lie. To make the same mistake all over again. To live a life of lies.
Even to a total stranger, a lie isn't safe. We can miss chance opportunities by being used to lie to a stranger over a certain circumstances.
